This painting has been named Luscious Freedom for the luscious picture that was born through my spontaneous moments of freedom while working on it. Bold and free brushwork make up this painting that reveals a jewel-like effect whereby one gets a certain luminosity that changes with the light. The painting was amongst the first where copper pigments have been superimposed with other pigments to give a certain translucency. In this painting I am inspired by Michelangelo's iconic reference of God's hand giving life to Adam. The painting speaks about love's eternal connection that will exist forever despite physical distances and death. Hanging over the water - Abstract 6 Fire Series

Hanging over the water is one of my largest paintings. It is a subtle myriad of suspended reds that will produce a luminous picture to shine through the deep blood red background. I have been enthralled by the effect of certain pigments next to one another or their effect when superimposed. So this painting is a play of depth and luminosity,created by the choice of centain pigments over others. The properties of this painting remain difficult to show through normal photography. The painting may be termed as rich, luscious and fiery with subtly variations in depths that reveal different strengths according to the light. So one gets different effects as the painting seems to change according to the time of day when lightened only by daylight. Its rich beautiful tones and balanced compostion will adorn any large modern up-style space.

This is also one of the largest paintings I have composed. This triptych presents a depth that cannot be transmitted through a photograph. The background is essentially black and charcoal gray and in a certain light, one sees the shimmer of a purple glaze. Bold brushstrokes of paint have been applied freely with other thickly applied paint to form impastoes.
